Skateboard Policy

Skateboard Policy Change effective 4/25/2016

For reasons related to the safety and security of the Reseda High School campus, skateboarding is not permitted on campus at any time. Students bringing skateboards on campus during the school day or to school sponsored events after school hours risk the board being confiscated and kept in the Dean’s Office.

Students bringing skateboards onto campus have one choice:
1.) Lock their skateboard on the approved skateboard rack; located in front of the school.
No exceptions!

First Offense: Board will be confiscated by school personnel and returned to the student at the end of the school day or at the end of the school event at the Dean’s Office. Student will be issued appropriate school disciplinary action(s).

Second Offense: Board will be confiscated by school personnel and only returned to the student’s parent or guardian at the Dean’s Office. Student will be issued appropriate school disciplinary action(s).

Subsequent Violations: Disciplinary actions will be escalated in accordance with the violation. Including but not limited to  returning the board only at the end of the academic semester to the student’s parent or guardian.

Please note per LAUSD policy (Parent/ Student Handbook) - Skateboards can be distracting to the educational process and may be confiscated by school personnel. The District is not responsible for lost or stolen items (including those in lockers).
